About Us
Archery Pictures is an independent production company founded in 2014 by Kris Thykier, encompassing his successful film company PeaPie Films. We are a team of creatives, driven by a passion to create bold, original high-end film and television for international audiences.
In January 2021 Archery Pictures announced the beginning of a multi-year strategic alliance with Idris Elba’s Green Door Pictures. This new venture will see Archery Pictures and Green Door Pictures working in partnership on selected projects in both TV and film.
In November 2020 Archery Pictures launched Mews Films, a new production label focused on the development of a slate of comedy movies for the domestic UK theatrical market. The venture is a partnership with Danny Perkins’s Elysian Film Group.
Archery has recently produced two series of FATE: THE WINX SAGA, which became a number one series on Netflix. John Madden’s latest film, OPERATION MINCEMEAT, starring Colin Firth, Matthew Macfadyen and Kelly Macdonald, was released in April 2022.
Archery has also produced three series of RIVIERA for Sky Atlantic, a thriller set against the opulent Cotè d’Azur. Starring Julia Stiles, RIVIERA broke records becoming Sky’s most downloaded box set ever. Other credits include the BAFTA-nominated series THE STATE, a harrowing four-part drama written and directed by award-winner Peter Kosminsky.
